SMS / Text Messaging Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026. This is a working draft pending attorney review, copy on this page is not final and should not be relied on as legal counsel.
This policy explains how National Foreclosure Prevention Group (“NFPGRP,” “we,” “us”) uses SMS text messaging when you contact us or ask us to text you.
1. When we text you
We send text messages only after you take an action that asks us to, for example:
- Submitting a phone number through the consultation modal, the waitlist form, or another lead form on this site
- Choosing “Text with Us (SMS)” at the end of the 60-second quiz and initiating a text to us from your phone
- Replying to a text we sent, which opens an ongoing conversation
2. What kinds of messages you may receive
- Transactional messages, call confirmations, appointment reminders, and replies from our team about your request
- Service updates, messages about your member subscription, Chat Access account, or the AI Case Companion waitlist
- Case alerts for members, when a new filing lands on your public court docket or when our team uploads a document to your account
- Personal SMS AI companion (Premium members only, when opted in): daily case-update summaries and text conversations produced by the same AI that powers the in-app chat
- Educational updates (only if you opt in), general information about foreclosure timelines, credit recovery, and related topics
We do not send bulk marketing texts, we do not share your phone number with third-party advertisers, and we do not use auto-dialers to send unsolicited promotional messages.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies depending on the service you requested. Most people receive one to five messages per week during an active conversation. You are always in control of the pace.
4. Message and data rates may apply
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier apply to any text messages you send or receive. NFPGRP does not charge you for the messages themselves. Contact your carrier for details on your plan.
5. Reply STOP to opt out
You can end SMS communications with NFPGRP at any time by replying STOP to any text message we send. We will send one confirmation message and then stop texting you. You may still receive transactional messages tied to an active purchase or account, unless you close your account.
6. Reply HELP for help
Reply HELP to any text from us to get contact information for support. If your phone number changes, please update it with us so we don't text the wrong person.
7. Consent and TCPA
By providing your phone number and asking us to text you, you consent to receiving SMS messages from NFPGRP at that number. Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchasing any service.
We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act as applicable, and the CTIA Messaging Principles & Best Practices. If you believe you received a message from us in error, please email us using the contact address in Section 10 and we will remove your number.
8. Content of messages
Nothing we send by SMS is legal advice. We are not attorneys. Anything shared with you over text is educational and not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney in your state. See our Terms & Conditions for the full disclaimer.
9. Privacy of your text messages
Text messages you exchange with us are logged and retained under our Privacy Policy. Our team may review threads for quality, safety, and training purposes. We do not sell your SMS content.
10. Contact
Questions about our SMS practices can be sent to the contact address in our footer or your onboarding email. If you want to opt out of all future SMS but cannot reply STOP for any reason (for example, you lost access to the number), contact us and we'll manually remove you.
