Nexa AI Privacy Notice
Last updated: October 1, 2026.
Nexa is the AI chat inside your NFPGRP account. This notice explains what Nexa collects, how it is used, who receives it, and the choices you have. It adds to our Privacy Policy, our AI Policy and our Terms & Conditions, and does not replace them.
What Nexa is, and is not
- Nexa is an AI. You are talking to a machine, not a person.
- Nexa is for education only. It is not a lawyer, it does not give legal advice, and it can be wrong. Check anything important with a licensed attorney, or call a free HUD-approved counselor at 800-569-4287.
- Please do not share card numbers, passwords, or anything else you would not want sent to an AI provider.
1. What we collect
- What you type and what Nexa answers. Your messages and Nexa’s replies are saved in your account so the conversation can continue.
- Details from your documents. When you upload a notice or court paper, our scanner reads it and saves the file name, the notice type, case number, court, and a short summary. Nexa can use these to answer you. If you use the page-scan feature, the pages you choose are read by the AI provider as well.
- Your state, if it is on your case, so Nexa can point you to the right resources.
- Usage records. How much of your AI allowance each message used, and when, so we can keep your balance and bill any credits you buy.
- Your agreement. When you agree to this notice, we save which version you agreed to, the time, and the IP address you were using.
If you put personal details in a message or a document, we collect them, and Nexa may repeat them in its replies. We do not give Nexa your password or your payment details.
2. How we use it
- To answer you, and to keep your conversation and case information together.
- To keep your AI allowance and any credits you buy accurate.
- To keep Nexa safe and working well. Our team may review conversations for safety, quality, and support.
- To protect accounts, prevent misuse, and resolve disputes.
- To improve our systems, only in de-identified or combined form.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use identifiable conversations, case details, or uploaded documents to train third-party AI models.
3. Who receives it
To write each reply, we send your message, the earlier messages in that conversation, your state, and the document details described above to our AI provider, Anthropic. Anthropic processes this for us under the terms of our agreement with it. Under that arrangement, it does not keep your content beyond what is needed to return a response, where that option is available, and it does not use your content to train its public models. Anthropic may keep limited information longer where its own safety or legal rules require it. Anything Anthropic holds under its own policies is separate from what we hold, and removing it is a request made to Anthropic.
We also use other vendors to run the site (hosting, database, file storage, payments and email). They are listed on our Subprocessors page. We may share information when the law requires it, to prevent serious harm or fraud, or to protect our rights.
4. Your choices and rights
- You can say no. If you choose “I don't agree” at the start of a chat, Nexa will not answer you. The rest of your account works as usual, and you can start a new chat and agree later.
- Ask for a copy, a correction, or deletion. To delete your account and your Nexa conversations, email remove@nfpgrp.com. We check that it is really you first. For copies and corrections, email support@nfpgrp.com. Section 5 of the Privacy Policy lists the extra rights some states give you.
- Your IP address and the time you agreed are kept as a record that you agreed, and are deleted with your account.
5. How long we keep it
Your Nexa conversations stay in your account while it is active. If you cancel, they are kept for the same period as the rest of your account data and then deleted, as described in Section 4 of the Privacy Policy. A deletion request removes them sooner. Backups holding your data are rotated out within the period stated there.
6. Keeping it safe
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, described in Section 6 of the Privacy Policy. No online service is 100% secure, so please keep your sign-in details to yourself.
7. Children
Nexa is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used Nexa, email support@nfpgrp.com and we will look into it.
8. Changes to this notice
If we change what Nexa collects, shares, or keeps, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date, and Nexa will ask you to read and agree again before your next chat.
